Green beans are such a versatile and renal friendly vegetable. The following recipe punches up the flavor using dill, lemon and garlic alleviating the need to use salt! Serve this green bean side dish cold or hot with your next meal.
Savory Green Beans
- 16oz frozen green beans
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp. lemon peel
1. Cook beans until desired doneness, drain, and set aside.
2. Saute onions until translucent.
3. Add pepper, garlic, dill, lemon peel and sautéed onions to green beans.
4. Toss and serve.
